About Us
The Department Academic Mentorship Programme (DAMP), functioning under the aegis of the Institute Student Mentorship Programme (ISMP), is designed to address the academic challenges faced by undergraduate students within their respective departments. The programme appoints selected senior students, typically from the third and fourth year to serve as mentors, forming the core workforce of the initiative. These mentors are assigned a group of junior students to guide and support, especially those struggling academically. The primary objective is to help such students overcome backlogs and get their academic progress back on track. DAMP mentors work in close coordination with Faculty Advisors and Department Faculty Coordinators to enable early identification of at risk students and ensure consistent monitoring and support. In addition to one-on-one mentoring, the programme also organizes departmental activities such as lab visits, 'fundae' sessions, and tutorial-cum-help sessions to foster academic engagement and peer learning.
Chinmay Kale
What's good yall, Chinmay here, your resident unc! I have a wide variety of interests, ranging from following nearly every sport (Arsenal, Jags, Ms FTW) to quizzing, to getting into needlessly competitive games of badminton with my friends. Always happy to discuss about any and all topics under the sun, and looking forward to getting to know everyone!
G. Preetham
Heya! I'm Preetham. I spend my free time either watching movies or writing/reading shitty reviews about them. Greg Heffley shaped me into the person I am today, so make of that what you will. I also enjoy music and watching football. Always up for a chat, about any of the above or otherwise.
Radhika Agarwal
Hey, I’m Radhika! You will almost always spot me in cafe 97 glued to a screen. I love watching movies, documentaries, and shows (currently deep in my murder documentary phase), and enjoy being outdoors. I’m also a big Bollywood music fan and am into robotics (we’re figuring that part out together). Feel free to reach out to me anytime :)

Probably asleep, Engineering physics, because normal suffering wasn't enough; Certified yapper ( once comfortable)Living proof that ""I'll do it tomorrow"" can work; Running on chai and questionable life choices; Might steal your fries , not your heart 🥀 Friendly menace, Currently trusting the process
Shruti Pikle
Hey sophies! I'm a to-be fourthie as a DAMP for-thee (sorry, not sorry!). 🤙 When I’m not stuck in lectures, you’ll usually find me hunting down good unhealthy food, binging the same show for the 1000th time, yapping about my favorite topics or dancing till I can't breathe. Come exam season, I cope with the stress by dancing at 3 AM instead of studying (having a roommate who goes for a run at 3 AM helps). I also love stargazing and planning 7-day treks that I never actually go on. I’m notoriously slow at replying, but I promise to break my 2 business days rule for my dear mentees :) Feel free to hit me up if you want to just hangout, go on a food run, need a safe space to rant, or just want to waste some time together!
Soham Sahasrabuddhe
Hola junta! Soham here, a particle astrophysics enthusiast. Some people call me "Virus", because my surname might remind you of a certain iconic movie character... or maybe I'm the actual virus responsible for the chaos around here, who knows xD? A huge sports buff and can happily watch almost any sport, though cricket, football (Visca Barca!), and motorsports are my usual go-tos. I'm also a bit of a history nerd, if time travel ever gets invented, I'll probably be the first person to run back. When I'm not busy solving the universe's most pressing problems you'll most likely find me yapping around in department
Sourav Sreenath
I’m Sourav Sreenath, a third year Engineering Physics student. I’m interested in high-energy physics and particle physics, although a lot of my time outside classes is spent watching YouTube, following random shows, and generally finding ways to avoid being productive. Feel free to reach out if you have questions about courses, internships, research, or life at IITB. If you’re confused about something, there’s a good chance I was confused about the same thing at some point too.
Vithulakash
Hello!! I'm Vithul. I love sports in general, mainly football (Visca Barça). I spend most of my time re-watching FRIENDS even though I already know all the punchlines. I recently started reading books (psychological thrillers and mystery novels especially), so if you have any really good suggestions, let me know! Currently into ML (even though I say ML, it is only RL that I'm interested in rn). Drop by the library to have a nice chat. I'm usually hiding out there solely for the AC.
